Ian is Business Development Manager for Industrial Decarbonisation and Applications, BOC UK & Ireland.
Ian’s work on the commercialisation of technologies in the metal, glass, chemistry, steel and energy markets focusses on the decarbonisation of industry and industrial processes using hydrogen and industrial gases. He has more than 20 years’ experience working for BOC.
BOC, a Linde company, is the UK and Ireland’s largest provider of industrial gases and is leading the drive to a greener future. BOC helps its customers to decarbonise operations using a range of proven technologies to reduce carbon emissions.
Ian is an active member of the Hydrogen UK Industry and Jobs and Skills working group, and the JZC (Jet Zero Council) and ZEF (Zero Emission Flight) delivery groups. He has been a member of the DESNZ (formerly BEIS) Sector development working group, DESNZ HAC research and innovation working group and the BLA Hydrogen project steering group. He has also been a member of a number of EPSRC supervisory boards largely related to carbon capture through post combustion capture and oxyfuel technologies.
He is also a consultant to Linde engineering and Reliance industries for the world’s largest gasification complex in India.
